The Tin Lantern Bar and Grill

This place is a solid 3. We went to celebrate a birthday and we’re seated in a booth. The middle booth on the wall to the left is very scrunched- the booth chairs are placed too close together and it made our dining experience uncomfortable. We got the meatball starter. The bread with the meatballs was very good and the sauce was good too but the meatballs were over worked and rough. We also got a green goddess salad that I split with someone. The salad was okay except for large chunks of shallots. They served the salad in separate bowls for us which I thought was a nice touch until I saw they charged $2 extra. Annoying! For mains I got the special which was chicken parm which was a bit dry and overcooked. I got extra marinara sauce. But overall this dish wasn’t very good. My partner got the burger which he ordered medium but he said it was way overcooked. The fries were pretty good. Another person at the table got the lasagna and it looked good. Our server was Dallas who was friendly and did a good job. They did ask if we were celebrating a birthday (which we were) but didn’t do anything to acknowledge it.

Was told the soup portion was 10oz. Wow! Great deal I thought. More like 5 oz. And no bread even offered as a side. Just assumed it would come with it or alteast offered as an extra. A bit disappointing. This is how much they gave me. I took one bite so far. Love this place. Don't get me wrong. But I expect to recieve, what I paid for. I'll be back!

We went for mine and my dad's birthday on 9/16/23. I had heard nothing but fantastic things and praise for this restaurant, and to say I was disappointed is a severe understatement. I originally wanted to order the Tri Tip Dip sandwich, but was told not to by my parents, who had had it the week or so before, and they were disappointed. I had the Chicken Marsala, which was almost too sweet to eat. My husband had the Basic Burger, which was just that, basic. My dad had ordered the same drink I did, which was a Blueberry lemon drop, and he hated it. That was the one thing I did like. When it came to dessert, all I wanted for my birthday dinner was a slice of cheesecake, which they were out of. I even specified in our reservation that it was celebrating a birthday, and nothing was ever said. I totally understand that not every restaurant does this, but it was just disappointing. For the cost of the meal for 6 of us (one being a toddler), it truly was not worth it. I even planned ahead and asked to be sat outside, with a high chair, because I know my toddler is loud. I was trying to be as accommodating as I possibly could, while just trying to enjoy a supposedly delicious dinner.

2 times ive ordered take out and not only was it wrong, it was out right bad food... 2 times ive eaten in and had AMAZING food. Moral of the review... DONT GET TAKEOUT! The quality control here on take out is no good. The bartenders too busy overserving guests too pay attention to the food they are passing over and getting tipped on!!! No good!!! DO be sure to take a date or friend enjoy the wonderful dining in experience here. Be sure to request a table away from the overcowded bar with the local rich overserved young drunks that dont have anywhere else to get plastered in town.

Food was good. Service was lacking just a little bit. Slow to take drink orders initially. The ambiance is loud. Lots of seating inside a small area. Went at 430pm thinking it wouldn't be so busy. Parking lot was packed and there was a good amount of people already being served. Getting in without reservations doesn't seem likely. Filet was perfect.
